The Lord looked down and said one day,
I'll make a hound and call it grey -
I'll make it sleek and vere fast,
With dignity that's sure to last.
I'll give it spirit - I'll give it grace,
And a trusting look upon it's face -
You'll see it's love in soulful eyes,
A love for man that never dies.
I send this gift from up above,
Treat it well - share all your love -
For this is treasure quite profound,
Love like no other....
